POS Systems and the future…
Up to now, the main concern of catering businesses (restaurants ,bars, coffee shops, patisseries etc.), has been the purchase of the necessary equipment –new or second hand.
Owners have always attached importance to the set- up of their stores as well as the quality of the services they provide.. They aim at providing their customers with quality goods, offering excellent service but at the same time, trying to successfully face competition.

In the past, everyone was looking for a system or program that could help them run their stores or their posts (kitchen, bar ,cash register) faster and more efficiently. Something that could replace the traditional written on paper orders, which the shop’s supervisor had to count at the end of the day and estimate labor cost and productivity.

This need gave birth to the POS System ,which was used by most owners in their catering stores. How exactly did it work? It abolished ordering on paper and made the process of ordering faster (helping waiters). It also simplified receipt issuing and cash register monitoring ,thus contributing to the development of the enterprise.

Can this system do even more, someone could ask. Can it offer me more? I already have the ability to monitor the orders ,the receipts . I can also keep track of my cash register transactions and if I wish ,I can have some printed statistics sorted by item. So I am content..
But what if I wish for more than this??
In the past few years, smart phones and tablets became part of our everyday life. People were overexcited with these new toys. Using 3g , you can access the internet anywhere , stay in touch with people, even monitor the cameras of your store through your smart phone. (How convenient for the store owner!!!).

It’s incredible!!!!! The owner has his store literally in his hands . While sitting at home, in his favorite chair ,he monitors everything -24/7 -without setting foot in his store. ( to be honest ,it would be optimal if the owner could show up now and then ), but he has greater flexibility than before.
But what about the cash register transactions?? Its statistics and printouts??? The user would have to connect to the cash register through TeamViewer to view them. That’s also great…
Maybe, there is another way to do it?

An innovative POS System ,just like the camera monitoring system, has to offer to the entrepreneur the ability to monitor anything ,anywhere. Statistics from all chain stores simultaneously. Cash register entries ,shifts, statistics by category /product, average receipt, most sold items, most busy hours in the day, busiest periods in the year ,etc.

And all this on a mobile phone – tablet running android or IPhone, at one’s leisure . 24 /7 in real time .( statistics)
But all this will happen in the future.
Or maybe, the future is already here????
